Bicycle

✨ The balance champion

A bicycle is a human-powered vehicle with two wheels arranged one behind the other. The rider moves it by pushing pedals, which turn a chain connected to the rear wheel on most conventional designs. The frame supports the rider and holds the main components, while the handlebars are used for steering and the brakes for slowing or stopping.

Bicycles come in many forms, including road bikes, mountain bikes, city bikes, cargo bikes, and children's models. Their design can vary greatly depending on whether they are intended for speed, rough terrain, everyday travel, carrying loads, or recreation. Gears can also make pedaling easier or harder by changing the relationship between the pedals and the wheel.

Riding a bicycle requires coordination and balance. When moving, the rider steers by adjusting the direction of the front wheel and shifting body position as needed. Unlike a car, a bicycle has no engine, so its energy comes mainly from the rider. Cycling can provide regular physical activity while producing no direct exhaust emissions during use.

It is also a practical way to travel short and medium distances, especially where cycling infrastructure is available. Wearing a properly fitted helmet, using lights and reflective elements when visibility is poor, and following traffic rules can help reduce the risk of accidents. Regular maintenance of the brakes, tires, chain, and other components is important for safe and reliable riding.
