Golden Eagle

✨ The lord of the summits

The golden eagle is a large bird of prey found across parts of the Northern Hemisphere, including North America, Europe, and Asia. It is known for its powerful body, sharp eyesight, and ability to hunt in open landscapes such as mountains, grasslands, and deserts.

Its broad wings allow it to soar for long periods while searching for prey. An adult golden eagle can have a wingspan of more than 2 meters, and its strong legs covered with feathers help protect it in cold environments. It mainly hunts mammals such as rabbits and ground squirrels, but it can also capture birds and other small animals.

Golden eagles usually form long-term pairs and often return to the same nesting areas for many years. Their nests are large structures made from branches and can be built on cliffs or tall trees. The female generally lays one to three eggs, and the young birds remain dependent on their parents for several months after hatching.

Although the species is still widespread, some populations have been affected by habitat changes, collisions with human structures, and accidental poisoning. Conservation measures and habitat protection help maintain healthy golden eagle populations in many regions.
