Harp

✨ The instrument of angels

The harp is a string instrument made of a curved frame, a sound box and a set of strings stretched vertically. The musician plays it by plucking the strings with the fingers, producing notes that change according to their length, thickness and tension.

Some modern harps have pedals or levers that allow players to modify the pitch of certain notes and perform a wider range of musical pieces. The instrument exists in many forms, from small folk harps to large concert harps used in orchestras.

The harp has a long history that goes back thousands of years. Similar instruments were already present in ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia, where they were used in religious ceremonies and royal courts.

Over time, the harp developed in different regions, especially in Europe, Africa and parts of Asia, with each culture creating its own styles and playing techniques. Today, it is found in classical music, traditional music, film soundtracks and contemporary compositions. Its sound is created through the vibration of the strings, which is amplified by the wooden body of the instrument.
