High heels

✨ Walking High

High heels are shoes in which the heel is raised higher than the front of the foot. This design changes posture by shifting part of the body's weight toward the front of the feet. Shoes with raised heels have existed for centuries and were worn by both men and women in different periods of history.

For example, horse riders in Persia used heeled footwear to help keep their feet in the stirrups, and high heels later became fashionable in Europe. Today they are made from leather, textiles, synthetic materials and rubber, with heels varying in height and shape. Common styles include pumps, stilettos, block heels and wedges, each offering a different balance between appearance, comfort and stability.

High heels are widely associated with fashion and formal clothing, but they also affect the way people walk and stand. As heel height increases, pressure on the front of the foot generally becomes greater, while balance and muscle activity change. Wearing high heels occasionally is not necessarily harmful for most healthy people, but frequent use of very high heels may increase the risk of foot pain or certain musculoskeletal problems in some individuals.

Designers continue to develop models with improved cushioning, more stable heels and ergonomic features to enhance comfort. Although styles evolve with changing trends, high heels remain an important part of clothing culture and personal expression in many societies.
