Motorhome

✨ The house on wheels

A motorhome is a road vehicle designed to provide both transportation and living space. It combines a driving area with a compact interior that usually includes sleeping places, seats, storage and a small kitchen. Depending on the model, it may also have a bathroom, shower, heating, air conditioning or a dining area that converts into a bed.

Most motorhomes are built on the chassis of a van or light commercial vehicle, although their size and layout vary. Unlike a caravan, a motorhome has its own engine and can be driven without another vehicle towing it. Many models carry fresh-water and waste-water tanks and have electrical systems for their onboard equipment.

Designing a motorhome requires careful use of limited space. Furniture and equipment must be arranged without affecting the vehicle's stability or safe handling. Some models have an auxiliary battery or solar panels to provide electricity when they are not connected to an external supply.

Larger motorhomes offer more living space, but they can be harder to manoeuvre and may use more fuel. Motorhomes are mainly used for travel and holidays, allowing transport and accommodation to be combined in one vehicle. Their equipment and permitted uses vary according to the model and the regulations of each country.
