Pig

✨ The farm's little genius

The pig is a mammal belonging to the family of Suidae, which includes wild boars and other related species. Domestic pigs descend from wild boars and were among the first animals to be domesticated by humans thousands of years ago. They are mainly raised for their meat, but they are also valued for their intelligence, adaptability, and ability to learn.

Pigs have a strong sense of smell, which helps them find food and explore their surroundings. They are omnivorous animals that eat a variety of foods, including plants, grains, fruits, and small animals. Their powerful snout allows them to search the soil for roots and other sources of food.

Pigs are social animals that can form close relationships with other pigs and with humans. They communicate through different sounds and body movements, and they are capable of remembering places, individuals, and learned behaviors. Female pigs, called sows, give birth to litters of piglets after a pregnancy of about three months, three weeks, and three days.

With proper care, domestic pigs can live more than 10 years. Today, pigs are found on farms around the world, and their intelligence has also made them important in scientific research. Their close relationship with humans shows the diversity of ways animals can be domesticated.
