Socks

✨ The soft cocoon for your feet

Socks are knitted garments worn on the feet, usually inside shoes, to improve comfort and protect the skin. They reduce friction between the foot and the shoe, helping to limit irritation and the formation of blisters during walking, running or other activities. Most socks are made from cotton, wool, synthetic fibers or blends of several materials chosen for warmth, durability, elasticity and moisture management.

Their thickness, height and design vary according to their intended use, whether for everyday wear, sports, hiking or cold weather. Some models also include reinforced heels and toes, compression zones or breathable panels to improve fit and performance. People have worn different forms of foot coverings for thousands of years, although modern knitted socks became widespread after advances in textile manufacturing.

Today, engineers and textile specialists continue to develop fabrics that improve moisture control, thermal insulation and resistance to wear while increasing the use of recycled fibers. The right pair of socks can contribute to foot comfort, but it cannot prevent every foot problem, since proper footwear and individual foot shape also play important roles.

Beyond their practical purpose, socks are available in countless colors, patterns and lengths, allowing them to reflect cultural traditions, professional requirements, school uniforms or personal style.
