T-Rex

✨ The king of dinosaurs

Tyrannosaurus rex, often called T. rex, was one of the largest meat-eating dinosaurs to have ever lived. It appeared about 68 million years ago and inhabited western parts of what is now North America during the Late Cretaceous period. An adult T. rex could reach around 12 meters in length and weigh several tons.

Its large skull contained powerful jaws filled with sharp, replaceable teeth, some of which measured more than 15 centimeters. These features made it a highly effective predator, although scientists continue to study whether it mainly hunted live prey or also ate animals that had already died. Despite its massive body, T.

rex had relatively small arms with only two clawed fingers, but these limbs were still strong compared with their size. Its long tail helped maintain balance while walking, and its powerful hind legs allowed it to move efficiently. Fossil discoveries suggest that it had excellent senses, including a strong sense of smell and good vision.

T. rex disappeared about 66 million years ago, along with many other species, during the mass extinction event that marked the end of the Cretaceous period. Today, it remains one of the best-known dinosaurs thanks to its fossils and its important place in scientific research and popular culture.
