Tiger

✨ The striped lord of the jungle

The tiger is the largest living species of cat and is found mainly in forests, grasslands, and wetlands of Asia. There are several tiger populations, including the Bengal tiger, the Siberian tiger, the Sumatran tiger, and others.

Each tiger has a unique pattern of dark stripes on its orange coat, which helps it blend into its surroundings while hunting. Tigers are powerful predators that usually hunt alone, feeding mainly on animals such as deer, wild pigs, and other medium-sized mammals.

Unlike many other cats, tigers are excellent swimmers and often use water to cool down or move through their territory. They are generally solitary animals, with adults marking and defending areas where they find enough food.

Tigers play an important role in maintaining the balance of ecosystems by helping regulate prey populations. Today, they are threatened by habitat loss, illegal hunting, and the decline of their natural prey. Conservation programs have helped protect some populations, but the species remains endangered.
