Wolf
✨ The legendary howler of the forests
The wolf is a carnivorous mammal belonging to the dog family. It is found mainly in forests, mountains, grasslands, and tundra regions across parts of the Northern Hemisphere. The gray wolf is the most widespread species, with different populations adapted to various environments.
Wolves have strong bodies, sharp senses, and powerful jaws that help them hunt and survive. Their diet mainly consists of large mammals such as deer, but they may also eat smaller animals depending on what is available.
Wolves are known for their social behavior and usually live in family groups called packs. A pack often includes a breeding pair and their offspring, which cooperate when raising young and searching for food. Wolves communicate through sounds such as howls, as well as body language and scent marking.
By controlling prey populations, they help maintain the balance of ecosystems. Although wolves have disappeared from many areas because of human activities, conservation efforts have allowed some populations to recover in certain regions.
