Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was an Austrian composer and musician who lived from 1756 to 1791. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential composers in the history of Western classical music. Mozart was born in Salzburg, then part of the Archbishopric of Salzburg, and showed extraordinary musical talent from a very young age.
As a child, he travelled extensively across Europe with his family, performing for royal courts and aristocratic audiences. He later settled in Vienna, where he worked as a composer and performer and produced many of his most important works.
Mozart composed music in many forms and genres, including symphonies, concertos, chamber music, piano works, religious music, and operas. Among his best-known operas are The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni, and The Magic Flute. His music is known for its clarity, balance, expressive melodies, and sophisticated structure.
Mozart was remarkably productive despite his short life, composing more than 600 works. His compositions had a lasting influence on classical music and inspired many later composers. He died in Vienna in 1791 at the age of 35, but his music continues to be performed and studied throughout the world.
